Student Housing Generators - Phase 1 Civil/Electrical works - Buildings 4,5,7 and 9

Civil and electrical contractors will begin mobilizing on March 16 for Phase 1 of site work associated with the installation of emergency generators. During this phase, work will occur primarily in the exterior areas surrounding Buildings 4, 5, 7, and 9.

The installation of emergency generators is a high priority project intended to ensure reliable power and uninterrupted operation of student housing facilities, supporting the safety and security of residents in the event of a power outage.

Impact: Crews will be excavating/trenching around buildings and pedestrian pathways, pouring concrete pads, laying conduit, coring concrete on buildings for penetrations and performing work inside Electrical rooms.

Pathway behind Buildings 5, 7 and 9 will be closed starting March 25 for approximately two weeks. The currently closed pathway to Lot N will remain closed until March 27. Please use University Crescent as a detour route.
